Position Overview
CTR Food Works is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume food hall environment. This role requires a strong floor leader who is organized, proactive, and confident managing busy service periods, multiple moving parts, and a wide range of team members and partners. The Assistant Manager will help oversee the floor, support operational flow, and work directly with restaurant managers, owners, and bar managers to ensure a smooth and consistent guest experience across the property.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of restaurant management experience, thrives in high-volume environments, and can balance guest service, team support, and operational execution. Bar experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day management of CTR Food Works floor operations.
  • Maintain an active, visible presence on the floor during service.
  • Help oversee the flow of guests, service, cleanliness, and general operations across the property.
  • Work directly with restaurant managers, owners, and bar managers to keep communication strong and service running smoothly.
  • Assist with problem-solving during service, including guest issues, operational bottlenecks, staffing gaps, and vendor coordination.
  • Help ensure all areas are operating efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with company standards.
  • Monitor the overall guest experience and step in quickly to resolve concerns.
  • Support bar and restaurant teams during peak hours and high-volume periods.
  • Help manage and direct support staff, floor staff, and other operational team members.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and holding staff accountable to service and operational standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and readiness across guest-facing areas.
  • Help coordinate opening, shift change, and closing procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with leadership regarding service issues, staffing concerns, maintenance needs, and daily operational updates.
  • Support execution of special events, large-scale activations, private events, and high-traffic weekends.
  • Help enforce company policies, service expectations, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with incident response, de-escalation, and decision-making in fast-moving situations.
  • Maintain strong awareness of the entire property, not just one outlet or department.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience required.
  • Bar experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in a high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage busy service floors.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working directly with multiple stakeholders, including restaurant managers, owners, and bar managers.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure.
  • Strong guest service instincts and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly in a complex environment.
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Preferred Skills and Traits:
  • Strong floor leadership and presence.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture while still handling immediate operational needs.
  • Comfortable managing multiple vendors or concepts within one shared space.
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Able to hold teams accountable while maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience working in large-scale hospitality venues, food halls, bars, restaurants, or event-driven spaces.
  • Strong understanding of guest flow, service standards, cleanliness, and floor execution.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both front-line staff and leadership teams.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to move quickly through a large property during service.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies or equipment as needed.
