Previous barback experience required — this is not a bartending position.
We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and experienced Barback to join our team at the new CTR Food Works.
CTR Food Works is a community-focused food hall offering a vibrant mix of dining, hospitality, and event experiences in an energetic and welcoming environment in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Our barbacks are essential to supporting bartenders, keeping the bar fully stocked and organized, and helping maintain a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
Barback responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Keep the bar fully stocked and service-ready throughout each shift.
- Prepare garnishes, juices, mixes, and other bar essentials.
- Refill juice bottles, fruit trays, and ice wells as needed.
- Restock liquor bottles, beer, straws, napkins, cups, and other bar supplies.
- Change out kegs during shifts.
- Assist with batching large quantities of cocktails and mixes by following recipe guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and surrounding service areas during service.
- Support opening and closing bar duties.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with bartenders and management.
- Unload and organize truck orders and deliveries.
- Organize bar storage, prep areas, and back-of-house bar supplies.
- Help bartenders maintain smooth service flow during busy and high-volume shifts.
- Follow all directions, procedures, and standards established by management.
- Assist in maintaining quality, cleanliness, and efficiency at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous barback experience required.
- Experience working in a high-volume bar, restaurant, venue, or hospitality environment preferred.
- Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and multitask during busy service periods.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to anticipate bar needs.
- Ability to communicate well with bartenders, managers, and team members.
- Ability to lift and move kegs, cases, and bar supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for long periods of time.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.
